Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 October 2026 · Operated by ZAVUZI LTD

This policy explains what personal information ZAVUZI collects, why we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We've written it to match how ZAVUZI works today and will update it as new features arrive.

1.Who is responsible for your information

ZAVUZI LTD (company number 17517386, registered in England & Wales) is responsible for personal information processed through ZAVUZI. You can reach us about privacy at social@zavuzi.com.

2.Information we collect

  • Account information — your email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text) and confirmations you give at signup, such as meeting the minimum age and accepting our Terms.
  • Profile information — your username, display name, profile photo, bio and any other details you add.
  • Content you share — posts, captions, comments, photos, videos, music, audio and digital product files you upload, and how you classify them.
  • Social interactions — who you follow, likes, saves, comments, blocks and notifications.
  • Creator information — creator profile details, membership tiers, products and settings, and any information needed to approve creators for particular features.
  • Moderation and reporting information — reports you make or that concern you, moderation decisions, notices and related records.
  • Age-related information — any age you declare, and the outcome of any age-assurance check where one is required to access restricted content. Declaring an age does not by itself grant access to 18+ content.
  • Technical and security information — information your device and browser send when you use ZAVUZI, such as IP address, device and browser type, and logs used to keep the service secure and working.
  • Private messages — messages you send and receive in ZAVUZI Messages, and your Messages settings and 18+ declaration for Messages. Messages are private conversations between members. They are not end-to-end encrypted. “Delete for me” hides a conversation from your own view only; the other person keeps their copy.
  • Saved report copies — when a message or account is reported from Messages, a fixed copy of a limited number of messages is saved with the report. Authorised safety staff may review that copy to handle the report; access needs two-step verification and every view is logged. Staff don't routinely browse live conversations. How Messages work.
  • Communications — messages you send us and emails we send you, such as account confirmation and password resets.
  • Transaction information — when payments are introduced, records of memberships and purchases. Card or bank details would be handled by the payment service used, as explained at checkout.

3.How we use it

  • To create and run your account and provide ZAVUZI's features, including feeds, profiles, memberships, music and products.
  • To show content to the right audience, respecting visibility, membership, classification and age restrictions.
  • To keep people safe: reviewing reports, moderating content, enforcing our rules and preventing abuse.
  • To protect the security of ZAVUZI and its users, and to detect and prevent fraud.
  • To communicate with you about your account, safety notices and important changes.
  • To meet our legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
  • To understand and improve how ZAVUZI works.

4.Our legal reasons

Under UK data protection law we rely on:

  • Contract — to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests — for safety, moderation, security, fraud prevention and improving ZAVUZI, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where the law requires us to process or keep information.
  • Consent — where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5.Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information.

  • Other users see what you choose to share, according to your settings, the audience you select and any access restrictions.
  • Service providers who host, store, process and deliver ZAVUZI on our behalf (for example infrastructure, storage, media delivery and email). They may only use information to provide their services to us.
  • Payment and age-assurance services, if and when these are introduced, to the extent needed to provide them. We will explain this at the relevant point in the app.
  • Authorities, regulators or others where required by law, or where necessary to protect people's safety or rights.
  • A buyer or successor if ZAVUZI's business is reorganised or sold, under equivalent protections.

6.Browser storage

We use storage in your browser that is needed to run ZAVUZI, such as keeping you signed in and remembering preferences like your theme. If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will ask for your consent where required.

7.How long we keep it

Subject to UK legal review

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above. When content or accounts are removed, some records may be kept longer where needed for safety, moderation history, resolving disputes, preventing abuse or meeting legal obligations.

During the private Alpha we haven't yet set fixed retention periods for every type of record, including reports, saved report copies, moderation and access logs, and archived content. We're preparing a retention schedule and will update this policy when it's set.

Records that others rely on — for example permanent access to a digital product someone has obtained — may also be kept so that commitments made through ZAVUZI can be honoured.

8.Keeping it secure

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including access controls that limit who can see private content. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep it private.

9.International processing

Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we take steps intended to ensure the information receives the protection required by UK data protection law.

10.Your rights

Subject to the law, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your personal information;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information;
  • restrict or object to certain uses;
  • provide your information in a portable format.

To make a request, email social@zavuzi.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. During the private Alpha, deletion and copies of your data are handled manually by the team rather than automatically in the app, so they aren't immediate. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), though we'd appreciate the chance to help first.

11.Younger users

ZAVUZI accounts are for people aged 16 and over. If you believe someone under that age has created an account, please contact social@zavuzi.com and we will look into it.

12.Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as ZAVUZI develops, for example when payments or age-assurance checks are introduced. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or by email.
